WHY DO WE NEED PROTEIN?
Proteins are the building blocks of human life, essential for normal growth. Protein is 90 percent of the dry
weight of blood, 80 percent of muscles, and 70 percent of the skin. Proteins provide the building blocks for
connective tissue and are the primary constituents of enzymes, hormones and antibodies. They
encompass many important chemicals including immunoglobulins and enzymes. In short, protein is the
basic stuff of muscles, skin, bones, hair, heart, teeth, blood, brains, skin and the zillion biochemical
activities going on in our bodies every minute. When we fail to consume adequate amounts of protein, the
blood and tissues can become either too acidic or too alkaline. Lack of dietary protein can retard growth in
children, and in adults can be a contributing factor in chronic fatigue, depression, slow wound healing, and
decreased resistance to infection. top of page
Proteins contain approximately 22 amino acids, eight of which are essential because the body cannot
produce them. Therefore, they must be obtained from our food. The sulfur-containing amino acids:
methionine, cystine and cysteine, are particularly important for the health of the brain and nervous
system. The amino acid cysteine, which is the one most severely damaged by processing, is possibly the
most important anti-catabolic amino acid. There is clinical evidence that supplementing the diet with
bioavailable cystine and other amino acids contained in specially processed milk proteins can help build
blood quality and even detoxify harmful chemicals. Studies have shown as little as 20mg of bioavailable
cysteine per day produces dramatic results in individuals using resistance training. One daily serving of
GOATEIN ä provides over 45mg of Cysteine. top of page
The Amino Acid Profile Of Goatein ä Pure Goat's Milk Protein
* Essential Amino Acids
ANIMAL PROTEIN vs. VEGETABLE PROTEIN. Animal protein is the only source of complete protein
available. Animal sources of protein (such as GOATEIN ä) have many advantages over vegetarian
sources (such as soy) because vegetarian sources are typically low in one or more of the essential amino
acids even when overall protein content is high. There is now some controversy regarding the safety of
soy. Soy protein is thought by some researchers to be high in mineral-blocking phytates and
thyroid-depressing phytoestrogens. Potent enzyme inhibitors in soy may even depress growth*. top of page
WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT GOATEIN ä?
GOATElNTM IS PURE. GOATEIN ä is the highest quality protein powder available. It is produced from
goat's milk that contains no antibiotics or female growth hormones. Most commercially available dairy
protein powders are produced from animals given antibiotics and/or BrST that can provide the user with
unacceptable amounts of female hormones (is there an "acceptable" amount?). Many vegetable protein
powders are made from non-organic, or GMO sources and may contain chemical residues.
GOATElN ä GOAT'S MILK PROTEIN IS ABSORBED MORE EASILY. The smaller molecules of
goat's milk are closer in size and composition to human milk, making it easier to digest. Goat's milk
protein is also substantially less allergenic than cow's milk protein in susceptible individuals. AddItionally,
GOATEIN ä is partially pre-digested through a lactic acid fermentation process to make it even more
bio-available while virtually eliminating it's lactose content. Research has shown that proteins from milk
that have been pre-digested by lacto-fermentation are absorbed more efficienty as those of non-fermented
milk. During the fermentation process many digestive enzymes are created that aid in the assimilation of
food nutrients. In THE MILK BOOK, William Campbell Douglass, M.D. states that the protein contained
in cultured (lacto- fermented) dairy products is the very highest quality available for human consumption.

GOATElN ä is MINIMALLY PROCESSED. Most other milk protein powders are made from cow's
milk and, even though they claim to be "minimally processed," most use several invasive processing
steps, including heating at high temperatures. These methods denature many important amino acids and
DESTROY enzymes and beneficial bacteria. Research suggests that processing whey with heat and acid
(i.e. ion-exchange) results in the loss of several key amino adds including: Cysteine 73-77%; Threonine
35-45%; Serine 18-30%; and Lysine 19-20%. Because GOATEIN ä is processed without the use of acid
or excessive heat, the amino acids, enzymes and beneficial bacteria remain in their natural form.
GOATEIN ä IS HIGH IN AMINO ACIDS. These building blocks of proteins are crucial for proper
immune system function. Because GOATEIN ä is processed without excessive heat or acids, it contains
biologically active Cystine, Glycine, and Glutamic Acid in tripeptide form. The combination of these three
amino acids forms Glutathione. Glutathione functions as a principal antioxidant, scavenging free radicals
and environmental toxins such as lipid peroxides that can damage and destroy healthy cells. When the
body suffers from oxidative stress, supplies of Glutathione diminish. Oxidative stress affects the nervous,
immune and endocrine systems and may be an underlying cause of fatigue. Glutathione is extremely
important for the proper functioning of the immune system through its critical role in the growth and
replication of lymphocytes, the cells that mediate specific immunity. GOATEIN ä also provides
immunoproteins such as albumin, lactalbumin, and lactoferin that have been shown to stimulate immune
response. top of page
GOATEIN ä IS A BALANCED COMBINATION OF WHEY PROTEIN AND MILK PROTEINS.
Research indicates consuming whey protein by its self can cause too rapid an absorption of amino acids.
These amino acids are then used for energy production instead of tissue building. We are convinced that a
combination of both whey protein and milk proteins is superior, containing a much higher concentration
of Glutamine (20% of protein content). GOATEIN ä contains a favorable ratio of Potassium to Sodium,
important for a leaner, less bloated look.
GOATEIN ä CONTAINS AMINO ACIDS IN THEIR PEPTlDE and FREE FORM. The amino acids in
GOATEIN ä are in their L configuration, completely assimilable by the body. This makes GOATEIN ä an
extremely important supplement for premature babies, people with compromised digestion, the elderly,
and those suffering from malnutrition and muscle wasting. Dietary peptides have been shown to suppress
abnormal immune cell activity and minimize the damaging side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.
The amino acid L tryptophane can be effective in cases of insomnia and depression. Glutamine, an
important amino acid for building lean body mass and immune health, is not effectively absorbed when
taken in combination with other amino adds due to competitive absorption. However, when the glutamine
is bonded with a peptide, as it is in GOATEIN ä, it's absorbed many hundreds of times better. The
glutamine contained in GOATEIN ä aids in the body's ability to repair itself after intense workouts or
injury. top of page
GOATEIN ä CONTAINS POWERFUL PROBIOTICS and DIGESTIVE ENZYMES including
protease, amylase, lipase and lactase. These enzymes contribute to the health of the digestive tract and
can increase the utilization of GOATEIN ä as well as other dairy foods. GOATEIN ä is the only protein
powder available that contains 14 super strains of probiotics designed to be resistant to heat, cold,
chlorine, fluorine, stomach acid and extremes of pH.** Each serving of GOATEIN ä contains probiotics
in a base of lacto fermented goat's milk protein. Fermentation by lactic acid bacteria creates biologically
active lactic acid that plays a major role in energy production and fat burning. This lactic acid is also
essential for proper pH balance of the gastrointestinal tract and other bodily tissue. Many of the healthiest
and longest living people in the world have consumed lacto-fermented dairy products and attribute their
Iongevity to this marvelous food. Research has shown that regular consumption of cultured
(lacto-fermented) dairy products lowers cholesterol and protects against bone loss.
Scientific research makes it very clear that probiotics are of vital necessity and immense benefit to
humans. Probiotics not only collectively provide profound health benefits, such as vastly improved
digestion and nutrient absorption, but also provide superior protection against the invasion of foreign
pathogens and other infectious agents. They also:
Improve digestion and nutrient absorption.
Protect against invasion of foreign pathogens and other infectious agents.
Dramatically improve human immune function.
Protect the body from the potentially devastating effects of accumulated toxins and carcinogenic
Produce short chain fatty adds that are converted into energy.
Help protect against unhealthy cholesterol buildup that could lead to cardiovascular disease and even
Athletes: After intense exercise the immune system is more susceptible to bacteria and viruses. By
consuming GOATEIN ä after working out you can can help to protect your body from infection by
supplying high quality proteins in the form of peptides, probiotics, and enzymes.
The inclusion of probiotics and enzymes that are naturally occurring as part of the food itself make
GOATEIN ä the most highly bio-available protein powder available. Because GOATEIN ä is so easily
digestible, it is the protein powder of choice for young and old alike! top of page
